True Foundation Outreach Center

Who We Are

  • True Foundation Outreach Center, a tax-exempt organization since 2015, provides capability-building mentoring and outreach services to at-risk youths, ages 12 through 24.

  • Mentors provide encouragement. They point to self-love and self-value to confirm youth’s positive self-identities.

  • Mentors provide a road map filled with goals based on positive expectations for achievement.

  • Mentors empower youths to look inward, develop their strengths as assets, use all available resources, and be aware of negative forces and barriers they may face in their journey into adulthood.

Workforce Development Program

Since 2024, True Foundation Outreach Center adopted strategic plans and collaborative goals with our community and educational partners to assist youths to obtain National Career Readiness Certification and workforce and technical certification training.  The focus of the training is to equip youths with entry-level skills needed to obtain jobs in manufacturing, such as welding technology, electrical technology, and system-based automation. However, training may also include workforce training in truck driving, forklift operating and manufacturing assembling.

Progress

In 2024, True Foundation Outreach Center submitted a Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities Grant to the Department of Labor. We were very competitive but not competitive enough to obtain funding in 2024.

What Will We Do?

True Foundation Outreach Center will continue to collaborate with its community and educational partners. We will provide information to the community about National Career Readiness Certification training (ACT Work Key) and technical certification training with local partners. We will reapply for the Workforce Opportunities in Rural Communities Grant.
